PITTI W 12

The tradeshow and event dedicated to special women’s wear fashion projects

From the 18th to the 21st of June 2013, Florence is going to host the 12th edition of Pitti W, the trade show and event by Pitti Immagine dedicated to special fashion projects related to women’s wear, simultaneously with Pitti Uomo. On this occasion, selected international brands are going to exclusively present their Spring/Summer 2014collections and fashion capsule collections. Among the many international trade fairs all over the world, Pitti W. is seen as preferential place for the most famous buyers where to be informed, before the opening of the season, about the previews of the latest women’s clothing and fashion trends. This role of Pitti W, that it has been playing since its first editions, has been acquiring a greater importance during the years, thus turning this famous trade event into an incubator of fashion trends and the perfect location for the showcasing in the city of Florence ofvery specialized and very international collections and of accurate selections of accessories beside products of higher quality and careful style. During the last edition of January 2013, the collections presented were 70, and nearly 5,000 were the people registered as visitors (an increase of 25%, compared to the 4,000 visitors of the last Winter edition), and among them there were owners of the most important Italian stores as well as salesmen for some boutiques or department store that are very famous at an international level. Among the foreign visitors the best performances were made by buyers from Japan (+10%), Germany (+33%), Great Britain (+48%), United States (+83%), Russia (+20%) and The Netherlands (+26%). The selections of collections proposed were really liked by people, and this is true also for the focus given to women’s accessories and fashion capsule collections, as well as for the attention given –also by the press- to young fashion talents from all over the world.
